September Information Fair During the second week of September, we will have an open day for the community, during which time they can enroll in new classes or get information about what we do. \booths will be set up and on going demonstrations in music, computer and art will take place. Students will be on hand to answer questions and give advice. September 20 –24 SIT Methodology Workshop We will host 16 students form America for 4 days, during which time they will participate in workshops in field research. The workshops will be conducted by Mbarouk and Aida with assistance form the staff of CSRS. December Twelve in Twelve Twelve in Twelve founder, J.D. Lewis and his two sons will travel to twelve countries to volunteer and help local communities. Working with partner organizations, the Lewis family will contribute to the needs of the local community and experience first-hand helping those in need while acting as ambassadors for the program. A three-person documentary film crew will be present to record the experience in order to educate, promote and connect others to the project. Each location will focus on a different global issue such as famine, HIV/AIDS, housing, education, water rights, environmental and resource issues, child labor, and others important world-wide concerns.
December Annual Holiday Art Fair This one day fair is a chance for local residents to show off their artistic and culinary skills. Taking place one week before Christmas, it is a good opportunity for people to get those last minute gifts and check some of the talent in Mangapwani.
